Terms of service

The plain-English terms for working with us. Last updated June 2026.

These terms cover the website design and related services Tech3 ("we", "us", "our") provides to you ("you", "the client"), and your use of this website. By engaging us for a project, or by using this site, you agree to these terms. We are based in Sydney, Australia.

What we do

  • We design and build websites for service businesses, for a flat $300 (up to six pages). We also offer related extras, like logos and branding, landing pages, extra pages and a care plan, which are priced or quoted separately.
  • We do not build online stores or take-payment (e-commerce) websites.

Prices and quotes

  • The standard website is a flat $300. Anything beyond the standard package is quoted before we start, so you always know the price before you commit.
  • The care plan is from $50 a month and is optional. The website is yours either way.
  • You buy and own your domain name (usually around $20 a year). We do not charge for it or take a cut, and it stays in your name.
  • All prices are in Australian dollars.

Payment

Payment is made through Stripe. We may ask for payment before, during or on completion of a project, as agreed with you. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store them. For the care plan, the monthly fee is billed in advance and continues until you cancel.

How a build works

  • We start with a short chat to understand your business, then build the website and show you a private preview.
  • You get up to six rounds of changes during the build to fine-tune it. A "round" is one set of feedback, however many items it includes.
  • The project is complete when you sign it off, or when it goes live, whichever comes first.

Our money-back guarantee

If, after up to six rounds of changes, we still cannot deliver a website you are happy with, you can ask for your money back and we will refund what you paid us for the build.

The guarantee applies during the build, before you have signed off or the website has gone live. It covers the build fee we charged. It does not cover your domain cost (which is yours and bought from a third party) or any other third-party fees. Once you have signed off or the site is live, the build is treated as delivered.

What we need from you

  • You agree to give us the information and materials we need (business details, any logos or photos, content pointers), to be available for the chat and review calls, and to own or be willing to buy your domain name. Delays in getting these to us can delay your project.
  • You are responsible for making sure anything you give us (text, images, logos) is yours to use and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Ownership and handover

  • Once your project is paid for, the finished website is yours. If you run it yourself, we set it up on your own accounts (GitHub, Vercel, your domain and your form) and hand it over so it is 100% yours.
  • If you are on the managed care plan, we host and maintain the site on our accounts for you. The content and design are still yours.

Showing your site in our work

We may display completed websites we have built in our portfolio and marketing, for example the "Our work" section of this site. If you would rather we did not show yours, just tell us and we will not.

Third-party services

Your website relies on third-party services such as GitHub, Vercel, Stripe and your domain registrar. These are run by those companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for outages or changes on their end. We will always help you sort out anything that goes wrong where we can.

Support and changes after launch

  • We provide 30 days of free support after launch for fixes (not new changes), whether you stay with us or run it yourself.
  • On the care plan, we handle small text and image changes for you. Bigger changes (new pages, new sections, redesigns) are quoted separately.

Our liability

We take real care with every site, but to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or lost business) arising from your website or our services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant work.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the last-updated date at the top. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in place when you engage us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
